The Delhi Show

It is hard to believe, but the exhibition in New Delhi is now barely a week away. A Studio in Rajasthan opens at Palette Art Gallery with an invitation-only preview on Wednesday, January 14th, and opens to the public on January 16th. The exhibition of autobiographical miniatures (made in collaboration with Rakesh Vijay) and hand-coloured photographs (made in collaboration with Rajesh Soni) continues through February 6th.

The miniature painting above is titled I See Myself as Laxmi.

We actually made this photo a few weeks ago, but never did get a chance to upload it. The young man is my chawkadar (security guard), Ganpat. The village designs of the backdrop were painted by Chiman Dangi and Ramdev Meena.

I call this photo Ganpat as a Village Man.
