It's in the Details



These two images are details from a large panoramic miniature (9 x 34 inches) called A Journey with an End. Rakesh and I took a cue from the late Bhupen Khakhar, using the idea of a narrative painting...that in this case reads left to right.

I especially like these details of the three Indian men sitting and smoking beedis, and the final "scene" of the miniature with Thomas and I under the sheets with two of them. Look carefully at the transparency of the bed covers. The devil is certainly in the details.
